Game – Candy Coronas Mixtape
Sorry it took me a few days to post this mixtape, I wanted to come correct with the review. Candy Coronas is the precursor to Game’s upcoming R.E.D. Album due out later this month: August 23rd.
First of all, I just want to say, who the hell puts Grenadine in beer? That shit is not gangster. “Gangster Game” quite possibly came up with the softest mixtape name of the year.
Unfortunately, these 20 free tracks don’t make me want to buy the album. Even the songs with Dr. Dre and Lil Wayne aren’t great. Also, in more than one song, Game uses other rappers lines as part of his own verses, which just comes off as lame. Uncle Otis is understandable, because he’s taking shots at almost everyone in the industry, but there are other songs where he uses people’s lines, and too much of it is just weak.
Anyways, there are some good songs on the tape, they are starred below. Download the free tape to check out the starred tracks, and if you really love them, go cop the RED Album August 23rd.
